Il programma della Mostra è arricchito dai Meetings on Architecture, una serie di incontri con architetti e studiosi di tutto il mondo a cura di Hashim Sarkis. Molti gli argomenti affrontati e presentati dai protagonisti, come “l’intensificarsi della crisi climatica, i massicci spostamenti di popolazione, le instabilità politiche in tutto il mondo e le crescenti disuguaglianze razziali, sociali ed economiche”. Dall’estetica alle tecnologie, dall’ecologia all’urbanistica: 5 Panels affrontano diversi temi sulla sostenibilità in architettura. Martedì 16 novembre, Teatro Piccolo Arsenale: Venice Symposium / La Biennale thinks Venice / Thinking Venice through La Biennale. Studiosi e architetti discutono su come l’architettura può contribuire ad affrontare le diverse sfide di Venezia e del suo territorio. Sabato 20 novembre, Teatro Piccolo Arsenale: Looking forward: the education of the architect. Simposio sul futuro dell’educazione all’architettura in collaborazione con varie Università provenienti da tutto il mondo. The 17th International Architecture Exhibition How will we live together? is open until Sunday 21 November 2021. The programe of the Exhibition is complemented by the Meetings on Architecture, a series of encounters with architects, scholars and professionals from around the world curated by Hashim Sarkis. The many topics presented and discussed by speakers include “the intensifying climate crisis, massive population displacements, political instabilities around the world, and growing racial, social, and economic inequalities”. The meetings are open to the public with free admission as long as seats are available and reservation required. BOOK YOUR SEAT → Admission to the Biennale Architettura 2021 is not included. Experts and architects discuss the contribution of architecture to the different challenges Venice and its territory are facing. Saturday 20 November, Teatro Piccolo Arsenale: Looking forward: the education of the architect. Symposium on the future of architectural education in collaboration with Universities from around the world. |

A cura dell’architetto, docente e ricercatore Hashim Sarkis, la Mostra Internazionale comprende i lavori di 112 Partecipanti provenienti da 46 Paesi ed è organizzata in cinque “scale” o aree tematiche, tre allestite all’Arsenale – Among Diverse Beings, As New Households, As Emerging Communities – e due al Padiglione Centrale ai Giardini – Across Borders e As One Planet. Parte della mostra è anche How will we play together?, contributo di 5 architetti internazionali partecipanti, autori di un progetto dedicato al gioco allestito a Forte Marghera e aperto alla cittadinanza. Le partecipazioni fuori concorso comprendono le sezioni Stations e Co-Habitats, ricerche sulle cinque scale e relativi casi di studio sviluppati da ricercatori provenienti dalle università di tutto il mondo. 60 Partecipazioni Nazionali animano gli storici Padiglioni ai Giardini, all’Arsenale e nel centro storico di Venezia. 17 Eventi Collaterali, ammessi dal Curatore e promossi da enti e istituzioni nazionali e internazionali, sono allestiti in diverse sedi della città di Venezia. | The 17th International Architecture Exhibition How will we live together? is open until Sunday 21 November 2021. Curated by architect and scholar Hashim Sarkis, the International Exhibition includes 112 Participants from 46 countries and is organized into five scales: three are exhibited at the Arsenale: Among Diverse Beings, As New Households, As Emerging Communities, and two in the Central Pavilion: Across Borders, As One Planet. A part of the Exhibition is titled How will we play together?, a contribution by 5 international participating architects who have designed a project dedicated to children’s play, on exhibit at Forte Marghera and open to the public. This edition also includes a series of participations out of competition: Stations and Co-Habitats, research projects into the five scales with relative case studies developed by researchers from universities around the world. 60 National Participations are exhibited in the historic Pavilions in the Giardini, at the Arsenale and in the historic city centre of Venice. 17 Collateral Events, approved by the Curator and promoted by national and international non-profit entities and institutions, are organized in various venues in the city of Venice. | BIENNALE EDUCATIONAL 2021Le attività formative sviluppate dalla Biennale di Venezia si rivolgono ai visitatori delle Mostre, alle università, ai professionisti, ai giovani e ai ragazzi delle scuole. Tutte le iniziative puntano sul coinvolgimento attivo dei partecipanti, sono condotte da operatori selezionati e formati dalla Biennale e si suddividono in Percorsi Guidati e Attività di Laboratorio. In occasione della Biennale Architettura 2021, le attività Educational comprendono: Visite guidate per adulti e famiglie, con introduzione alla Mostra e percorsi personalizzati. Approfondimenti per le Università: visite guidate, lectures e percorsi personalizzati. Percorsi guidati e attività di laboratorio per le scuole secondarie di primo e secondo grado. Lo speciale progetto Biennale Sessions è dedicato alle Università, alle Accademie e agli Istituti di Formazione Superiore. La Biennale offre a queste istituzioni facilitazioni per una visita alla Mostra a gruppi di 50 persone tra docenti e studenti; viene offerto inoltre uno spazio gratuito per un seminario/workshop in dialogo con i temi della Mostra e organizzato dalla stessa istituzione. | Learning activities developed by La Biennale di Venezia are aimed at the Exhibition visitors, universities, professionals, youngsters and children from all kind of schools. All initiatives encourage the active involvement of participants, are led by professional operators trained by La Biennale di Venezia and are divided into Guided Itineraries and Workshop Activities. On the occasion of the Biennale Architettura 2021, Educational activities include: Guided tours for adults and families with an introduction to the Exhibition and dedicated routes. Programmes for University groups: guided tours, lectures and dedicated routes. Guided tours and workshop activities for students aged 14-18. The special project Biennale Sessions is dedicated to Universities, Academies of fine arts and higher education Institutes. La Biennale offers these institutions favourable conditions to organise a visit to the Exhibition for groups of 50 persons (faculty and students included); a location is also offered free of charge for a seminar to be held by the same institution in one of the Exhibition venues.
